How It All Started

My story begins in the shadow of hardship, shaped by both personal tragedy and the turmoil of civil war. My mother passed away giving birth to my brother, but later my brother died at the cost of the war, a few months after my mother died. Her absence became the first of many struggles in a life marked by uncertainty and resilience.

Growing up in a war-torn country, I witnessed suffering that no child should ever endure.

The conflict stole opportunities, including access to education. For years, financial struggles and instability kept me from the classroom, and by the time I finally had the chance to begin my education, I was already 12 years old. I sat among much younger children, but refused to let shame or circumstance define my future.

My story is not just my own—it reflects the hardships of countless children still denied the right to learn. But through the pain, I found purpose. I realized that education is more than just knowledge; it is a lifeline, a pathway to change, and a beacon of hope for those trapped in cycles of poverty and conflict.

Determined to turn my struggles into something meaningful, I founded the Advocacy for Children Media Education in West Africa Foundation—a mission-driven initiative dedicated to ensuring that every child has access to early education, no matter their circumstances. I believe that no child should be denied the chance to dream, to grow, and to thrive simply because of where they were born.

Education is not just a privilege; it is a right. It is the key to breaking generational poverty, to building stronger communities, and to fostering a future where every child has the freedom to learn. But I cannot do this alone.

I invite you to join me on this mission. Together, we can bring education, hope, and change to children who need it most. It only takes one person to make a difference. Will you be that person?
